I suggest that if you enjoy playing GW and want to keep it that way, stay out of riverside and any GW is DEAD 111!!!!!!@!@!@ threads. They can seriously screw up your perspective. I only come in for shits and giggles nowadays.

what its been like a week since the last gw is dead thread?

so I will copy and paste part of what I put (one) of the other threads:

"its going to be another year at least before gw2 goes beta, thats another year you can play gw1.....
I am NOT going over to gw2 so I see no problem continuing on playing gw1 until the turn the servers off (or another version of windows comes out that it can not be played on)."

I wont be getting gw2 (and neither will my hubby since his computer can barely handle gw1 and we have no intention of building another computer just so he can play an online game!), many people will continue to play gw1 even when 2 comes out for many reasons.
Guildwars is NOT DEAD, there is so much you can do in it.....have you played all 10 professions???? beat the game (all 3 chapters and eton) with all of them???? gotten max titles on them all??????? Filled your HoM to the max??????
No to any of those means you have lots you can still enjoy in this game even AFTER its sequel hits the market!

the 'gw is dead' theme has been beaten to death, so let a dead horse stay dead this time, k?

I think the only thing dead about Guild Wars is the average intelligence of all the people creating these topics...

People have no concept of time. The BETA will be available Q2-Q3 2008, at least 6 months from now. The GAME will be out somewhere between 2009 and 2010 (no solid date on that yet). That's 18 months to 2.5 YEARS. I.e., Guild Wars is not dead, it's halfway through its life, and that's still not accurate. It has been explicitly stated by ANet that GW1's servers will NEVER be shut down until NO ONE is playing it anymore.

Given how successful the "GW is dead" kind of thread is, I guess we should all bring our resurection signets with us and organise a "Let's bring back GW" major event. It could even be a week-end event, choose your side: bring-back-GW quests and GW-is-dead ones, with special hats for the occasion!

Seriously Fanco, this game has over 2 years more to stay alive and in 2 years LOTS of things happen, so stop thinking about whats gonna happen to GW1, shut your mouth and have fun as long as it lasts or else GTFO now.

You see alot of talking about guildwars and how it will be great = something that will come out in like 2 years

you heard Anet not gonna make more extensions or ideas for gw1 = wrong they will actually do something to keep players hooked up to the game, don't you think so?

GW is dead? = no it's still alive and going good (the new players keep coming and thats a good sign)

Quitting and waste your time is up to YOU = I play for fun and when it comes to an end I won't take it bad, the money I spent was good.

you started 5 months ago = if you played this game since the beginning you'd probably won't say the same, I'm here for over 30months and still playing like crazy.

Final comment: If you don't want to "waste" your time you can stop playing now, but in 2 years time many things will change and remember no game lasts forever.
